The American Ideal

“America is not just a country, it’s an idea.”

— Edward De Bono

I am in the camp that believes that the United States of America is a good country. Despite the faults of the people that are American, the VALUES of America are admirable, and I believe worthy of sustaining and passing on to future generations. And this is not just to pass on to future generations of Americans, but to all those who are American in spirit that may be citizens of other countries.

What are American Values – Here’s a good site that talks about what American values are. This is a good start, and I suggest reading and processing to think how closely you identify with these, and whether they can be improved upon.

The Declaration of Independence

The Constitution of the United States of America – very short and worth the read.

The Fabian Society and the Collectivist Triumvirate – A great thread from Dogenku on Quodverum on the capitalist/socialist society that means to control people by using the mechanisms of capitalism to enslave us.
